Structural Features
Pump Casing: DVDS series pump is a volute axially-split double-suction pump. The shell is in axial split structure, and suction and discharge pipes in the lower half of the shell parts. Removing the above components (shell, bearings), the rotor can be completely exposed. Therefore, the pump rotor can be removed for maintenance without taking down the lower pipe and pipeline valve. Besides, the drive unit can be saved in the installation position.
Impeller: Double-suction impeller with a closed runner is equipped with replaceable wear rings, and isolated from shell parts by the shell wear ring. The optimal blade geometry size ensures that the pump is featured by high efficiency, low NPSH, large operation range, stable running, small pressure fluctuation, etc. If the piping system layout is reasonable, the double-suction impeller can eliminate the hydraulic axial thrust.
Bearing and Lubrication: The radial roller antifriction bearing at the coupling end absorbs radial force, while the face-to-face installed radial-thrust ball bearing determines the axial position of the rotor and absorbs the remaining hydraulic axial thrust. It is adopts thin oil lubrication and equipped with oil slinger.
Shaft Seal: The seal type can be packing seal or mechanical seal.
Shaft: The heavy-duty station shaft is designed reliably, able to be used in harsh working conditions. The shaft between the over-current position and the impeller is protected by shaft bushing.
